Our Story

Since 1956, Shepton Hill is a place first, a farm, and now it’s the name on the lamb.

Built from the work of Tara Farms in rural Victoria, Shepton Hill is how we sell lamb on our own terms. Direct to people who care where their food comes from.

We’ve raised sheep on this land for generations. Animal welfare isn’t a talking point - it’s the baseline. Our lambs are born, grown, and finished here, handled properly, and fed according to what the season demands. Yes, that includes grain when it needs to. We’re farmers, not performers.

Shepton Hill stands on transparency. If you’re eating our lamb, you know where it came from, how it was raised, and who’s responsible for it. No middlemen, no mystery, no pretending this is anything other than real farming.
